Editorial policy
United Arts Journal aims to make arts coverage clear, considered and fair to the range of ways people encounter creative work. We distinguish explanation from opinion and take responsibility for correcting mistakes.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable information before publication and use wording that reflects what is known. We explain specialist terms when readers need them and avoid presenting interpretation as settled fact. If a subject is disputed or uncertain, we say so rather than implying a single final answer.
Independence and interests
Editorial decisions are made to serve readers and the subject, not to disguise a commercial interest. Relevant conflicts of interest should be disclosed. A partner does not receive control over independent editorial coverage through a collaboration.
Corrections
Readers can send a correction through the Contact page. Please identify the article and the specific passage or detail, and include the reason it may be wrong. We review corrections, update material when warranted and make the nature of a meaningful change clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when that is the case, we label them accordingly and do not present them as documentary images.
